About Us
Liz and Joe have shared a love for horses for over 25 years together. They previously had small family-owned barns in Arizona and Colorado that focused on rescue and farrier services.
Joe created Hawk Feather Ranch in order to expand equine services to the community and share his passion and expertise with others.
Joe
Joe – 1983
Joe is an Indiana native who has been working with horses since childhood. He has been in the equine industry for more than 30 years as a ranch manager, horse trainer, riding instructor, guest ranch wrangler, and certified farrier.
Liz
Liz – 1985
Liz hails from Long Island, New York. She rode hunter/jumper, dressage, and combined training in her youth, but nowadays prefers to ride bareback on low-key trail rides. She is a Douglas County middle school special education teacher, and also teaches riding lessons at HFR.

All boarding options include a stall, pasture turn out, use of riding arenas, wash stalls, and trailer parking.
